About Backpacks 4 Kids

Food insecurity is a reality for hundreds of children in Pierce County.  Working with school counselors in the Franklin Pierce School District, the Backpacks 4 Kids program identifies hungry children in local schools and supplies them with child-friendly, food items to feed them through the weekend. This outreach runs from October to June.
